This is a studio live performance by Ascend the Hill of the song that opened last night’s Good Friday gathering at Cornerstone Worship Center. Our evening was filled with music, art, video and liturgy. It’s not usual for us to be too formal in our gatherings, but this was our first Good Friday service ever, and it turned out to be the dark distant cousin of our traditional Christmas Eve service.

Reflecting on Christ’s death, pain and suffering so that we should be spared is essential. Because tomorrow brings remembrance not only that we have been spared the wrath of God (mercy), but have inherited the life of God in Christ Jesus (grace). Precious words to my ears, my heart, my mind and my soul.
